There was a time in my life where I got bored with food. Don’t get me wrong, I love cooking those traditional meals I grew up on. Let’s be honest though, some of our favorite dishes aren’t the healthiest.
So, on my journey to seeking different recipes I discovered something called Keto Dieting…
As I educated myself more about Ketogenic Dieting, I found that it was a way of life. It was more than a “diet.”
The ketogenic diet is a low carb, low protein, and high fat diet which puts the body into a metabolic state known as ketosis.
When you’re body is in a state of ketosis, the liver produces ketones. which become the main energy source for the body.
Ketones, also known as “ketone bodies,” are byproducts of the body breaking down fat for energy that occurs when carbohydrate intake is low.
I know right! Who knew? Maybe you did, but I didn’t at the time.
So the most important and effective information I found was that maintaining a Keto lifestyle will literally allow you to eat anything you want, while teaching your body to store fats properly.
If your metabolism is already high (like a lot of people I know), that’s fine too. This will help create a greater balance by incorporating meals to suit your speed.
I’d highly reccomend this book, it’s helpful. Having a healthy balance in a key factor in your Holistic journey.
